DataGlance Begins Implementation of eDocument and eEngineering Solutions at Major Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing Facility

July 2, 2026/in News

DataGlance eEngineering, digitized engineering work management solution

DataGlance, a provider of AI-enhanced enterprise asset management software and services to the Nuclear and Defense industries, today announced the kickoff of implementation of its eDocument and eEngineering solutions at a major nuclear fuel manufacturing facility in the United States. The implementation will support approximately 1,000 eDocument users and 200 eEngineering users across the facility and its supporting offsite organization.

eDocument consists of three modules – eInstruction, eRevision, and ePerform.  eInstruction is DataGlance’s computer-based procedures / dynamic instructions solution that converts existing Microsoft Word and PDF procedures into dynamic, computer-guided work instructions and forms. eRevision provides full Electronic Document Management System supporting version control, on-the-spot change processes, and document review and approval workflows that meet ANSI document and NIRMA records management requirements. Finally, ePerform electronic work packages support mobile execution of dynamic instructions and other digital documents via iOS, Windows, and Android tables and smartphones. eDocument meets Nuclear Industry regulatory requirements and INPO, WANO, EPRI, ANSI, NIRMA, and PPA standards.

eEngineering is DataGlance’s engineering change management solution, automating activities including drawing and design basis management, configuration maintenance, setpoint management, parts equivalency evaluations, system health evaluations, preventive and predictive maintenance plan assessments, and plant and facility modifications. The solution automatically generates electronic engineering work packages with predefined execution, review, and approval workflows, enforcing established regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and the facility’s own business rules throughout the engineering change process. eEngineering integrates seamlessly with eDocument and DataGlance’s broader eWork and eKnowledge solutions.

“Engineering change management and dynamic work instructions are two of the most consequential functions in any nuclear manufacturing environment — they directly shape safety, quality, and regulatory compliance outcomes. The eEngineering functional design draws directly on my experience designing engineering work management processes at two Fortune 200 nuclear utilities and for the world’s largest offshore oil drilling company, in each case translating that process design into enterprise software actually used by engineers in the field. Beginning this implementation is a significant milestone for DataGlance, and we are proud to bring this combined capability to a nuclear fuel manufacturing environment where the standards for precision and documentation are among the highest in any industry.”

— Nathan A. Ives, Executive Vice President, DataGlance

DataGlance’s eEngineering solution was functionally designed by Nathan Ives, DataGlance Executive Vice President, drawing on his prior experience designing engineering work management processes at two Fortune 200 nuclear utilities and for the world’s largest offshore oil drilling company, including the implementation of those processes through enterprise software. The eDocument solution’s design reflects DataGlance’s and its employees’ direct experience with nuclear operations, maintenance, and the procedures that govern those functions — including the firsthand operational backgrounds of Ives and Russell Austin, DataGlance Director of Business Programs, both of whom served in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear program before moving into commercial nuclear industry careers.

The implementation now underway includes conversion of the facility’s existing procedures into DataGlance’s computer-based procedure format, configuration of engineering change management workflows to the facility’s specific business rules and regulatory requirements, and deployment of desktop and mobile applications across the facility and its supporting offsite organization. DataGlance’s solutions are designed to integrate with the facility’s existing enterprise systems, supporting a combined work environment spanning dynamic work instructions, document control, and engineering change management.

DataGlance views this implementation as an important extension of its nuclear industry digital solutions into nuclear fuel manufacturing, complementing its existing work supporting nuclear power generation, defense, and nuclear manufacturing clients.
